Assamese Khar
- Let dry banana peel.
- Burn the dry banana peel.
- Put the ashes in a bowl
- Pour 1 cup of water in the bowl and mix with the ashes and let it rest for about 12 hours.
- After 12 hours Filter the clear water carefully with a clean cloth.
- The filtered water is called kola khar.
Whenever khar is required, a small amount of this ash is soaked in water, kept overnight and allowed to settle. The next morning this mixture is filtered through a fine cloth and used.
