Fish with Ginger Gravy
Ingredients:
- 8 Fish , small, gutted and washed
- Water-1-1/2 cups
- Turmeric powder -1-1/2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- 1 teaspoon Corn flour , mixed in 1 tablespoon water
- 2 inch Ginger, grated
- 2 Green Chillies , slit and cut into half
- 1 Bay leaf (tej patta)
- 1 Dry Red Chilli , (optional)
- Panch Phoran Masala-1 teaspoon
- Mustard oil
Method :
- Heat mustard oil in a pan, rub the fish with 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- When the oil is hot fry the fishes lightly and keep aside on a plate/bowl.
- Then in 1 spoon of hot oil add bay leaf, red chili, panch phoron and wait till they heat up. Add ginger along with green chilies, turmeric powder and saute till you start getting a nice aroma.
- Then add cornflour and water mix and season with salt.
- Keep stirring.
- Now add fried fishes into the curry and let them cook for a minute.
- Add water and stir.
- Once the curry is done, serve hot.
